Eclipse cards are all the rage at the moment so thought I would try my hand at making some. So far I've made three, all with a different effect, two are Thank You cards and the third is a Get Well Soon card. All the dies I've used are from Temu which has recently opened in the UK and I'm taking advantage of their opening Sale as prices are ridiculous at the moment. I have so many new dies, embossing folders and papers It will take me years to use them all - plus the floor in my upstairs studio is positively groaning under the weight of my collection!

The graphics I have used are all digital downloads from Etsy and I print out two identical copies and then cut the top one with a die. This throws a shadow when mounted directly above the bottom layer and gives a very strong 3D effect. It's important to position the top layer correctly so that the picture is continuous on both layers. The top layer is mounted on foam tape or foam circles or squares to get the requisite separation of the two layers. Once that is done a sentiment is added to the cards as well as any embellishments. I have added some glitter to the middle of the chrysanthemum card and faux gems to all three.

They can all be purchased from my website at www.charmainezoe.com or my Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/uk/shop/CardsbyCharmaineZoe
